Bento 16 features this recipe:
This doesn’t really qualify as a recipe but I’ve been asked a couple of times how I make long beans so I thought I’d add some simple instructions.
Cut the long beans in about three inch lengths then heat up a little sesame oil in the wok.
Once the oil is hot add some chopped red onion or shallots and cook to your liking.
Add the beans to the wok along with a little minced garlic and some sriracha to taste. I usually just squirt it all the way around the pan a few turns since I like it spicy. Add slowly and taste as you go until you find a good balance.
Other sauces will substitute fine. I’ve used soy sauce, bulldog sauce, and teriyaki but my favorite is definitely the sriracha!
